A morphological study of four valid nematode species of the genus Tectonchus Tsalolichin 1974 was performed using the original slides from the collection of S.Ya. Tsalolikhin. All revised species are found actually to belong to the genus Paramononchus Mulvey 1978, being new transfers: P. kirjanovae (Tsalolichin 1975) Gagarin, Naumova comb. n., P. machairodus (Tsalolichin 1975) Gagarin et Naumova comb. n., P. chingishan (Tsalolichin 1975) Gagarin et Naumova comb. n., and P. absconditus (Tsalolichin 1974) Gagarin et Naumova comb. n. The genus Tectonchus Tsalolichin 1974 is thus a new junior synonym of the genus Paramononchus Mulvey 1978.
