The Marine Biota of Aotearoa New Zealand - Nga toke o Parumoana: Common free-living Nematoda of Pauatahanui Inlet, Te Awarua-o-Porirua Harbour, Wellington. Free to download: https://niwa.co.nz/oceans/niwa-biodiversity-memoirs
A total of 55 nematodes species belonging to two classes, eight orders, 19 families and 41 genera were found as part of a study on the free-living marine nematode fauna of Pauatahanui Inlet in Wellington, New Zealand. Thirty-nine of the most common species are described here, 26 of which are new to science, four of which are new records for New Zealand, and seven of which are cosmopolitan species or species complexes. This memoir increases the number of marine free-living nematode species known from the New Zealand region by almost a third. In addition to line drawings and light micrographs, scanning electron micrographs and molecular sequences are provided for a subset of the species described.
